    Default Fridge not cooling

Like title says. Fridge isn’t cooling freezer is. Evaporator fan is cutting on and off. Ice build up to the right of the fan. Assuming this is the part that needs to replaced. It’s a whirlpool if that helps. Figured I’d reach out to the brain trust. I’d rather weed through yalls smartass comments before cussing out Google!

I had the exact same thing happen with a Samsung fridge last year. I could thaw out the ice around the fan, and it would work for a while before freezing back up a few weeks later. My repair man thought he had it fixed at one point, but it started back up after a few months. I ended up buying a new fridge.

I'd ask my repairman what the issue was on mine, but he died.

I am far from expert but I would say low coolant caused by a leak .

I am completely wrong. I agree with the defrost timer.

Call appliancepartspros.com. They will diagnose it and sell you the part. Worked for me 6-8 times.

Fan is working intermittently. I believe it is definitely something to do with defrosting.
