    Default Mobile Hunting Rig

So I've been a climber guy all my life and after watching other guys do it enough it seems there are better options out there for those deeper trekking hunts. I've been to YouTube but everybody is promoting who they are sponsored by so you have to weed through all that. I think there are plenty of good options out there and maybe there are some that are not mainstream that I am unaware of, just trying not to break the bank but have a reliable setup. So do you guys prefer saddle or hang on? and what setups are you carrying?
    Thanks,
    CB

You two white new balance and docker wearing shirt tuckers get back on your porch with your radar guns and log books of traffic activity.

3-4 good climbing sticks, Pick a brand, any brand (except tethturd) and a lone wolf alpha or equivalent lock on or saddle and go do work.

I personally like a single stick and saddle and can hunt anywhere I'm willing to walk to.

Preferred hashtags are no different than preferred pronouns. They mean nothing other than you're some type of gay.

    Me too.

I'm not spending 30 minutes, at the base of a tree, tying the 12 different knots required in saddle hunting.

Saddle hunting is as easy as closing a carabiner. It looks more complicated than it actually is. I have one because I used to carry a steel climber and was always looking for a perfect tree. Now I can use almost any tree I want with minimal fuss.

Depends on the situation but its either a lone wolf hand climber or a cruzr saddle. For a saddle I carry 3 lone wolf 20" double sticks with 20" cable aiders, that lets me get around 20 feet up.

I prefer a climber for comfort but the saddle is lighter and I can get in any type of tree. Both take me less than 10 minutes to pack/unpack and get up a tree.

I sit on the ground with a lever gun or shotgun.

No knots, no gear, and you can pick any tree.

Jx3 saddle and never look back. It’s the best of both worlds. Comfort of a climber, tad more weight, but not as heavy as a climber. Also can double as a pack.

Seems you have a very basic knowledge of the saddle.

    Me too...

I have a 30 year old Buckshot that has accounted for more dead shit than COVID. It is very comfy and it takes me maybe a minute and a half to put it on the tree and get climbing.

If I bow hunted, I probably would use a saddle. If I could see blood like most of you, I would probably fling arrows.

    Cruzr saddle.
    Jx3 saddle.

I liked beast sticks but there are a lot of good choices.

    I also one stick.

At this point. One stick plus saddle of your choice. A madrock safeguard and a compatable rope.

This coming from a lazy middle aged fat guy. I can't imagine going back to a climber at this point. Too much work and weight to carry. No thank you.

I have 20 plus locon's from a variety of manufacturers in regular use...my vote considering budget, function, weight, comfort, packability, etc. for a pack in/pack out type is XOP Vanish Evo stand with either 4 of the single step sticks or 4 of the X2 sticks with a aider on the bottom. Either stick option gets me to 17+ feet in a easy to use system.
