    Default Gigzilla

    Palmetto Trooper at his finest!
PT took a few Jerry's LED lights that he and I have had and been using for a few years,
then we bought a couple more to add to our spread. David fabricated this underwater light bar on an
adjustable mast w/ quick connect mounting cup (so we can use it on multiple boats) and added
a hinge so you can tilt it up if shallow water or oyster rake comes up quick or just tilt it up and lock it if you want to
run down the waterway to a new spot.
Note the holes in the mast pipe in the first pic, has a pin for setting depth
Stupid bright is an understatement and pulls very little battery
Truly one of a kind and custom fabricated

    Nice set up!

I love grabbing stone crabs in the lights.

It's the only way to go.

I usually re-appropriate a speed limit sign as a reflector to keep the light out of my eyes.

Way less glare if there's any wind.

Haven’t heard a lot of people using underwater lights but been plenty on your standard under rail bow fishing style lights. High pressure sodium’s with the orange color seem to work best IMO. What’s the advantage of having them in water vs shine on the water?

Last I heard the limits were so shitty in NC it didn't make sense to load up and gig.

    Yeah... 1/day/person. 15in min.

It should take you 10min to have a 3 man limit and be headed back to the hill.

Bought a nice set of underwater lights from a member years ago, they have seen zero water time from me, thanks to regs.

I would guess it eliminates the surface glare but would have to watch for underwater obstacles. Sounds like they are running LEDs off of battery as well so no generator which would be real nice.
So much more pleasant to be moving along silently.

Those HPS are running off generators.

    all the above
underwater is best in my opinion and I have tried about everything out there.
underwater doesn't care if there is a little chop/ripple or wind as long as the water isnt too dirty
