    Throwback to a time when we killed ducks in the midstate .
    Hungover as hell, Monetta, SC.

    Both banded Mallards were Ontario birds. Thunder Bay. That Sprig was slummin with some Park ducks and he peeped all the way to the decoys. Cost him his life…

    It's faded off into the memory bank. Not sure if they even get more than a Wood duck or some local Canada geese. Back in tha day tho... We killed all manner of waterfowl. Lots of Black ducks were killed there after 1000 AM.

    One thing for sure, the owners are damn fine folks.

    This picture wouldn't be worth mentioning today, but this was before any were ever stocked in SC.

    These are James Bay geese killed not far from Gaddys Pond, which is now the Peedee NWR.

    Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.
