5 Dolphin, 2 nice kings, released a small Cobia ......back at the house by 11am

Nice Rick! We went to 90ft this morning. Fishing was good, mishmash of macks, jacks, and some bottom fish that came up to bite ballyhoo. Saw one dolphin about 2 pounds. One crowd tagged 12 cobia and kept I have no idea how many. It was a bit further than 6 miles off. Super calm. Cruised back in at 34 and could have run WOT if I didn't need fuel in the am...

54 feet of water, eastern NC, my plan was to start at this spot and work my way out to another spot in 75ft but as soon as I got
my lines out here, it was on, BUT,
We left them biting, i had a "water in fuel" alarm show on the digital Suzuki gauge
so we hauled ass back in. Ran like a champ all the way in but didn't want to take any chances.
Got back and dumped the water/fuel separator into a glass bowl and it was full of water..........
I suspect all the rain we've recently had on a bad fuel fill spout o-ring. Draining the tank when I get back to SC this weekend
and will give everything a good looking over. Could be the rubber gasket under the fuel sender unit in the top of the tank also.
Been a real good year for dolphin and Cobia near shore reefs, wrecks and rocks.
Grouper will move in this close come October while the tier 1 boats ride right past them

Nice and what Hogg said. Looking forward to giving it a try Fri-Sat if the weather allows.

I fish in NC 5-6 times a year and man I'm jealous at how much better yall's fishing is.

    Great Job.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.
