    Default Georgetown area inshore guide

The search function didn’t give me much. Need a recommendation for an inshore guide in the Georgetown area (other than Captain Tommy). We will be staying in Litchfield so Murrels Inlet is fine, too. Thanks

Douglas Miller (Big Marsh Guides), Jordan Pate (Carolina Guide Service), Jay Nelson, Glenn Wilson. Those would be the ones I would start with.

For tarpon or inshore I have repeatedly used capt steve with barrier island guide service with great experiences every time. Probably a dozen trips with him and each one was a great experience.

Robert Mayer, Stump, Jay Nelson, Jordan Pate, Wayne Hardee, Fred Rourk. If you want a fun trip in a kayak, I can hook you up with a buddy that does those. Truthfully, Rob will out fish those all other guys.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

That's the truth about Rob. I didn't believe it until fishing with him. He's catching 8 to my one. Not uncommon for him to catch 100+ trout in an afternoon. I'd recommend him, Douglas, Stump, Steve, Jordan, Jay, and Robert Mayer.

Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

Absolutely amazing those same name's getting thrown around 15 years later.
Tommy and Fred. Steve with barrier island.
Jay Nelson. Good kid. Passionate, personable and not too shabby of a fisherman.
Only downside to to Jay is he didn't know what to say after I water swatted a gadwall after I told him to kill it.
He tried to make it fly or something silly like that. The look on his face....

Fred and Tommy were cranky back then. I'm sure they've lightened up since.

Guides and fishes. He’s fishing somewhere every day whether he’s got a charter or not.
