Any of you Columbia guys tried this place? Reviews? Thinking of taking the family there next week.

I think it’s really good. We live pretty close by, and have been to Home Team more since they opened. Went to Midwood last week and it reminded me how good it is. Bacon wrapped jalapeños are good and the brisket grilled cheese are good.

If you want a bbq bbq like Lester’s or farm boys or whatever, don’t go to midwood. If you want decent smoked meat and a more upscale social atmosphere it’s good.
Nothing to write home about but not bad. When I lived in Columbia I would sometimes get a a couple lbs of pork to go if I didn’t have any of my own.

We prefer this over Homewood.
It is not a regular BBQ spot like Buckin Bronco said above. Serves beer & bourbon. Go to Little Pig's or Doc's if you're in that neighborhood and want BBQ.
Or maybe 2th is cooking.
It's not enough to simply tolerate the 2nd Amendment as an antiquated inconvenience. Caring for the 2nd Amendment means fighting to restore long lost rights.
We did Hudson's last time we were up there and it was pretty damn good.

We live close to it and eat there a good bit.

Railroad bbq on Hampton street is . Midwood has been pretty average last few times I’ve eaten there.

We usually do business lunches there when I come into town. Not great, not bad, it’s decent.
Midwood has good burgers, and gender neutral bathrooms.
Thanks for the opinions fellas. Looking for a good family restaurant to visit in Columbia. Where should we go?
i would eat there more but i see sasha or boozer in there and turn around and go somewhere else....
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.

It tries to be Texas bbq. It is in fact not Texas bbq.
I ate there the first time because Thai Basil was closed for some reason, so I wasn't chipper. The second time, because we were close and my wife wanted to try it again. I ate burgers. I did try the burnt ends.. I loathe the way most do burnt ends smothered in sweet ass sauce, red yankee western sauce. * we did get brisket nachos, kinda made me feel like a tourist but they weren't terrible. If I'm eating pulled pork, I'd prefer to eat it in a backyard
Ya'll, I say this a a friend and peer. "pulled pork" is as yankee a term as yous guys. My eye twitches every time I see it in print.
