    Anybody Know of a good Yamaha Tech for some lower unit work? Pee Dee Area

    its not the pee dee area but harvey at mcleans marine in sumter, thomas tyler near lake city but its been years since i have seen or heard anything of him, he didn't like to work on anything but mercury, and donnie mckenzie from sandy bay near kingstree are the only ones i know of

    Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

    Pretty sure its bad Prop Shaft seal losing gear oil out the plastic screens on the front of the L/U.

    Most mechanics will tell you to replace it with a new prop shaft. There is a machine shop in Lake City with some high dollar precision machine that will straighten it out perfectly to factory specs.

    Take it to Marshalls Marine and you'll save money. They will take it to the shop. Just tell them what you want to do.
