Default Trifexis does not seem to be working this year

Our 3 1/2 yr old Boykin has been on Trifexis since he was old enough to take it and always has done a great job

I also treat back yard (he is a house dog) with Bifen about once a month

This year he seems to be scratching a LOT, never has much at all. Even his Whistle tracker gives me messages his scratching is elevated

I have emailed my Vet over the weekend to see if we should change what he is on , see on here and several others have recommended bravecto?

Must be a good crop this year. My parent’s dogs are ate up with them.

They use the collar I think.

Have you seen fleas on him? Scratching/itching isn't always about fleas. Any change in his diet? He could be allergic to certain weeds etc.

    What he said.

    Itching doesn’t always equal fleas.

Same food since he was old enough to eat. Looked at him closely last night and did not see any

Probably not fleas. Take him to the vet.

Yes, if you would follow my advice and get the tracker, I mentioned years ago it can do that. But then again, I realize not. Everybody is smart enough to take my great advice.

We switched a while back from trifexis to the simparica trio. Vet recommended it as they had seen some issues with the trifexis not working as it should. No issues with the simparica yet

No. They don't. They just have weird owners.

He is correct, lost 1 lab few years back and still bothers me to this day. Almost lost another but we found him 4 months later.

Boykin stays inside but we have young grandkids that do not shut doors, etc. Trying every way possible to avoid that terrible feeling of wondering what ever happened to my dog.

Yea pretty neat , lets me know his activity , scratching and even sends a message Tillman needs some more exercise which basically tells me to get my fat ass of couch and take him for a walk

Calling Vet in am, wife was on FB and said several folks commenting on one of her friends post about Trifexis not working this year. IDK
