Speaking of old time commercials, which of you old goats remember the commercials warning children not to pick up blasting caps?

"Those of us of a certain age will remember James Oldsmobile, late of Charleston. Hell, those of us of a certain age remember Oldsmobiles. James Olds had a very specific and memorable television ad where their Olds were advertised for $8,888. In a good old Charleston accent that was pronounced ate-e-ate-ate-e-ate.

At the end of the ad, old Mr. James said, “That’s bettah than grits on the tay-bull”

This cat looks like any farmer in Williamsburg county that got his crip insurance check for planting oats during a tropical storm and went to Dominica for a two week vacation.

    Yup, he's crazy...

like a fox. The dude may be coming in a little too hard and crazy but 90% of everything he says is correct.

Sort of like Toof. But way smarter.

They still play those. I moved to SC in 2009 and I remember those commercials then looking really old. When were they made?
