    Default Chest Holsters

They're foreign to me. I have a bino harness and want something I can carry a large frame semi auto on my chest or reasonable proximity to my hand that'll allow me to get at least a few shots into an angry brownie before it starts sucking the marrow out of my bones.

Dammit. Saw thread title and thought we were going to talk about brassieres and what they hold.

I catch a lot of crap for this. But here’s what I use on my runs.
If you leave a small bit of the corner unzipped there’s a pull tab for quick access.
I also use just a small trigger guard style holster that I attach to a loop in the bottom.

I know you asked for chest holsters, but If you’re wearing a bino harness I wouldn’t clutter up your front anymore than it is. Strong side OWB is fastest for draw

I have the kuiu bino harness with some accessories. It would be nice if I could get a holster that I could incorporate into that.

Where are you going that you anticipate this close encounter with a bear? What do the locals wear?

Phoneman’s suggestion is a good one. I have a GunFighters Inc chest holster for a revolver I tote when I hunt some sketchy, side of the road, paddle in spots. The butt of the revolver sticking out my waders has been enough to deter transgressions at least once.

    PB: Kodiak.

The locals probably dont carry, but the one genuine fear I have is a brownie. Yeah, I tortured myself over buying a specific gun for the trip, but...in the end it's a gun purchase and who doesnt like those?

I've put 200 rounds though mine. No trash ammo. I like it, no issues.

That ain’t fear, that’s healthy concern. I’ve had enough encounters with both two and four legged critters that have made carrying a pistol basically mandatory if I’m deer hunting or just walking in the woods.

So who makes a shoulder/chest holster that will work for a Ruger single six?
