Default Beavers: Starting to become fun...

So, I've walked the ponds four times - twice right at dark in the evening and twice starting about 15 minutes before a duck hunter's shooting time. I've killed a beaver both morning times, just a first light, and haven't seen a beaver in the evening. The lighting was much better (because it wasn't pouring rain like last time) so I got a photo I like much better. This was a much smaller beaver too, 22 lbs, so I think it was a sub-adult. It wasn't not an obvious male or female so I suspect it was another female. I cut the backstraps out so might have something to post in BlackBart's food thread...

The tail is amazing! Like the best ribeye fat you've ever eaten. The beaver meat itself is good as well, we cooked it in the crockpot and it tasted a lot like duck if you have ever crockpotted those.
