From what I’ve gathered from some Lexington folks, the lady that owned it died. She’d turned down 100 million dollar offers in the past. Her kids apparently sold out for 75 mil.

Probably why she protected it from their dumb asses.

I think they should be allowed to develop it. It's not like Murray is some peaceful sanctuary with limited development already. I haven't been on that lake in years but it was overcrowded back then, cats out of the bag.

That's what I was kinda thinking. Isn't Murray's shore already lined with everyone's little private slice of heaven? What's a few more? Seems like a drop in the bucket to me.

I wonder how long it'll be until that place is surrounded. Luckily the terrain makes it quite difficult to build dense neighborhoods on. Can the DNR just sell off those acres anytime they wanted to if a developer offered enough?

Lexington has longed been ruined. It always bothers me how people want to control what others do with their property. Don't want something like this, then buy the property.

I sure do miss the old days in Lexington when we had Hite’s Restaurant, Dairy Bar. For the longest time Hardee’s was the only fast food. Only a few stop lights.
