    Default Had A “Me Day”

This season has been one to remember, but today was just a little better than the rest.

Work has been terrible lately; between a whole batch of bottom of the barrel subs, and the nature of the beast with school work, a much needed PTO day was necessary to take a break from the noise.

Went ahead and made a day of it, and my head is better for it. Amazing what time alone out in the woods and water will do.

I need to put my pirogue in the water

Awesome stuff and congrats on the turkey. Take good care of those Goldens, they're great dogs.

What lake were you on? I figure everything up here is muddy right now.

Amazing what a day walking around in the woods does! Good stuff.
“Duck hunting gives a man a chance to see the loneliest places …blinds washed by a rolling surf, blue and gold autumn marshes, …a rice field in the rain, flooded pin-oak forests or any remote river delta. In duck hunting the scene is as important as the shooting.” ~ Erwin Bauer, The Duck Hunter’s Bible, 1965
