It ought to be getting sporty out there. I’m about a mile north of Wyboo. The wind is pumping here.

God help them if they went down there

Whackum Cat and many others we all know what that lake can do and I don’t like the direction or speeds I’m seeing on radar.

I hope they aren’t retrieving a fisherman rather than a fish this pm.
    Yup, he's crazy...

like a fox. The dude may be coming in a little too hard and crazy but 90% of everything he says is correct.

Sort of like Toof. But way smarter.

I hear someone got a new boat.

Maybe we can go try it out

That lake can generate some serious waves under the right conditions

It’ll get sporty quick. I was hoping they’d cancel today due to the wind, although the wind is supposed to blow for a few days. I hate fishing Marion after a big storm, the catch ratio today explains it and makes me feel way better about sucking under these same conditions!

At least it’s not a south east blowing against the current coming out of canal or those boys would struggle

Brandon wound up 4th. Still in the lead for AOY. Luke Palmer won, his 1st win on the Elites. Caught 4 of his 5 fish off one tree. Seems like a great guy. Brandon said he was pretty nervous about getting back across the lake today so he came back in early and fished around the landing area. Some of the other guys did the same. Santee and wind is not a good mix.

The wife and I camped at the state park for the week, nice park. But we had some terrible luck. Going down Wednesday had a flat on the truck, really nice young man that he said his family owns a farm close by stopped and helped me get it changed and even followed us to a tire shop he recommended. They got us fixed and on our way. On the way home we had 2 blow outs on the camper, one about prosperity, I got it changed and the second one about Chappells. Removed the tire, strapped the axle up and drove home slowly on one tire.I think it was the crappy road I26- got home about 11:00. Camper was brand new in 2020 and hasn’t been used but probably 10 trips. Also did one short hike on the Sinkhole trail in Santee, saw a huge alligator and got chiggers pretty bad.

His luck was a lot better than ours. But we are ready to go back to Santee to do some fishing.

glad brandon had a good enough weekend.

he is, by far, my favorite BASS angler.
He is also the only one I have spent so much time training....

He made the right call to come back. I'd rather be fourth than dead.
