Sunflowers 2023

I’m on a hillside with no trees, they’ve been put to the test this year with some 50-60mph winds. Still standing strong. I was worried I’d lose a bunch due to the rain before and during the high winds. Those big heads were blowing all over, I just knew when the sun came up I’d see a field full of uprooted sunflowers.

Do you buy direct from Eagleseed or somewhere locally? I'm definitely going to give those a try next year.

What's you row width and spacing?

I get them from the Farm Bureau Grain Elevator in Anderson. I try to achieve 8-10” seed spacing and I plant on 30 inch rows.
