Not the first boat up this way. Everybody must be fishing down the lake.

Quiet up our way as well. Thought we might see some today with the calm wind but nope.

Fishing must be pretty good. The top 70 anglers caught a 3lb average…

I saw one of them. He was nice not to wake the boats but he waved but you could tell he was having a tuff day

Lake Murray is showing out for sure. Brandon has had a good couple days and is sitting in 7th place with 41 lbs. Hopefully he can continue tomorrow and make the Sunday cut. Patrick Walters is in 5th and Jason Williamson had a big day and is in 4th. SC being well represented.

Lake Murray is making a statement for a future Bass master Classic.

I hope so. They gotta come up with the facilities to handle it. Dreher Island ain’t gonna cut it.

What he said. Almost every angler talked about the fishery. I remember when santee was talked about the same way.

They are coming in droves to get away from their high cost of living.

I have a friend that has several large custom houses being built. One client is from California. The rest are from Ohio, New York, and New Jersey.

They aren't moving to SC for the bass.

Yeah. The average price per house in those state is in the $500k range. In SC, it’s $210k. They’ve come here to get away from the problems they’ve voted for, or allowed to continue, which is starting to be a burden on their wallet. Then they come here an instantly increase the market by $100% by paying cash 10% over asking price. Makes me sick. Makes me sick, let’s get back to fishing…

Yep, my neighborhood is getting overloaded with them.

The bass fishing on Lake Murray is not as easy as they make it look. I find it a tough place to fish.

It definitely has its moments. I mostly stay in the river and venture to the big end occasionally.
