In Florence County, a federal jury found Darry Hanna guilty on all 22 counts of mail and wire fraud, and conspiracy to commit jail and wire fraud.
Hanna was charged with multiple counts of wire and mail fraud in the death of his sister in law, Teresa Hanna. In 2003, she was shot to death outside her home. She was the acting Johnsonville City Administrator at the time. Federal authorities say Darry Hanna conspired with his brother to kill Teresa to collect on her life insurance policy. Last August, his brother, David, committed suicide in jail.
