    Default Big mouth bass

My 7yr caught his PB today. 6.48, all by himself. He can skip a wacky rig on a spinning reel better than the boys on my team. She was next to a stump and I’m glad the drag wasn’t to tight or he might have gone swimming. D52C393A-46BA-4005-94D0-73EA4FD543C1.jpg

That's too cool, especially the story. If that fish would have wrapped that stump, he likely would have gone in after her!

One of the best parts of fishing is watching the kids catch fish.

Tell him congrats. I have trouble throwing a spinning reel to docks.

I don't know if your boy could use one but I've given a couple of these buckets away over the years to kids while fishing neighborhood ponds. It works pretty good to carry (2) rigged rods, pliers, a few baits, bottled water etc.
If you cut the PVC to fit flush to the top of the bucket it also serves as a seat to sit on. Also makes a good rod holder while your changing lures instead of laying the rod on the ground.
Pretty easy to make. Also pretty handy even for adults that bank fish.

Congrats once again to your son. That's a really nice bass.
