    Default Floor refinishers

Seems like we had one or two around here....

So I'm about to finish a white oak trestle dining table I built for a friend and I'm trying to match some built-in white oak benches his builder put in one corner of their dining room. Builder used Bona Mega One Extra Matte so I have the same thing on hand to put on this table.

I was going to spray it, but after further consideration, I think I'll treat the top like a floor and roll it or use a pad. Question - any reason I can't just brush the base??

And yeah - I'm ready for the nonsense the rest of you bring to the table.....

That stuff lays down really well, you could probably brush the whole thing, if youre using the waterborne one ive found that minwax polycrylic will match it in finish too.

Based on the pics I've seen, I'd pour it across that one end and let the natural slope/down angle you put in pull it across the rest of the table.

    Gravity application method.

Thanks, Charlie. I already have the Mega One on hand - just want to be sure I don't screw it up. HATE finishing. Despise it, actually.

Can't believe a rattle can recommendation hasn't been brought up yet (Deft, MinWac, etc.)

Like Charlie says, the stuff lays down very well, especially if you use a good brush like a Purdy.

It lays down but the heck with brushing/rolling/mopping anything if you have a good finish gun. Unless you have time to spare.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

That was my first thought - to spray it - but it's so damned heavy, it would be more convenient to not have to move it.
