Default Uvalde police vs Nashville police

    Who got their job done?

They have released body cam footage from the Nashville officers who were on the scene in Nashville yesterday morning. They got in there and got their job done.

What stopped the Uvalde police? Perhaps the Nashville event would not have occurred if the Uvalde police had reacted like the Nashville folks and set an example.

Maybe there is a large amount of training differences.

I hope that more comes out on all of this.

On top of that, I have heard, on the radio, that someone is encouraging the trans folks to get weapons before yesterday.

Last thought, does having a gun make a trans woman more of a man?
It's not enough to simply tolerate the 2nd Amendment as an antiquated inconvenience. Caring for the 2nd Amendment means fighting to restore long lost rights.

All I know is that the shooter is dead. That is a positive. 6 dead is too many, but the action of 2 brave Policemen saved lives.

The school that was 1st target has armed security- that was enough to deter, perhaps all schools need this!

My understanding of police protocol since Columbine (1999) was that nothing is to be gained by establishing a safe, defensive perimeter as if it is a hostage situation. I'm sure there are tactical nuances I'm unaware of but the gist of school shooting situations is you enter the building and neutralize the shooter.

The protocol is you go in immediately… with whatever you have and whoever you have to back you up.

Whereas the reaction in Uvalde was grotesque and cowardly, in the end it will likely save lives. You know all LEOs were disgusted beyond any level of reproach. No one wants to be painted with the same brush as those folks in Uvalde who stood by while more got slaughtered. It is a sad day that we are having to discuss/debate this, but I can only hope that the images and videos of them sitting there doing nothing, as more and more shots rang out, means that no LEO will ever wait for back up... ever again. I applaud all the LEOs in Nashville that didnt hesitate.

Big props to all the LEOs on scene . But the bodycam footage of the two guys moving into the building and up to the 2nd floor, quickly towards the sound of gun fire without hesitation...

    was amazing.

Those men were cut from a special swath of cloth, may God protect them always.

Watching that video makes you realize (even though we sometimes give them hard time) what a tough job LEO’s do

    These folks are my heroes

THANKS TO ALL LEO’s for doing things we all take for granted

Yes they were calling for day of vengeance, and then deleted the call after what happened

I watched that video and am amazed that them 2 officers were able to navigate that school as quickly as they did while toting balls the size of a D9 dozer.

Those 2 were on a mission and nothing was going to stand in their way. Now THAT is a true hero and I hope whenever some type of heroism award is given by the US govt that they are both recipients. Not some damn basketball player or other celebrity
