    Default why cant i seem to grow an onion?

    discuss
    timing of planting?
    water?


    i've planted them in the past and really just made a bunch of tiny purple onions....
    Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.

    Go to Dixondale Farms website, they have instructions, Been growing them as they proscribe for a lot of years and they do great. Good luck.

    I can grow onions.. I like spring onions, they're not hard. After this week, I'll be ready for Cherokees.

    Maybe over watering if you make them cry.

    Onions need sandy soil. Remove head and replace with onions.

    Are you watering with city water? They dont like flouride.

    Video is a couple years old from when they lived in NC.

    I second Dixondale.
    They will send them to you when it is time to plant and the type you should plant long day vs. short day variety. Plant in January usually.
