    Default Legal Bait???

What is a good bait for pigs that would also keep turkey hunting legal? I need to start wacking on these things but can't interfere with turkey hunting. Mosquitoes were horrible this morning and will be even worse if I wait till after turkey season.

You may be out of luck on the bait. Unless you find some sort of liquid substance.

    Catfish bodies
    Pecans soaked in koolaid
    Cabbage heads
    Table scraps
    Watermelons

    I could go on forever.

Hogs will eat off any decent vegetable scrap pile.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

Go to your grocery store and get the fruit cutting scraps. That's what we've done in the past here in turkey season to bait hog traps.

If you can find it, big brother had a great recipe for hog bait on here years ago. I don't remember the details but I'm pretty sure it wasn't something that would interfere with turkey season

I wondered how long it would take for someone to bring this up. Was longer than I anticipated.
