    Default Ideas.

I'm looking through all these wonderful eats. I want to cook something, but do not know what to cook. Cool snap has me in the mood to hang out coking.

    I always find this dangerous.

I've got a few min to play this afternoon at least as of now.

I really want some fresh fish but dont feel like driving to the beach. Blue fin would be nice, but I know I'm out of luck there.

A unique vegetable dish would be cool.

    Suggestions to try?

No Butts, Steaks, I've had my fill of that for now. I had one of those peppers for munch and I dont want pork for a while. It was great but enough is enough.

    Thanks

Ratatouille. One of the pretty ones. The knife work and layering will be perfect for you

find a way to make consistent brussel sprouts that taste good.

IMO, there's not much interesting about a vegetable. maybe that's why I'm fat.

Brocolini. I saw that on someone's plate recently. Its edible, most of the time.

If I'm bored and want to cook stuff, I usually get going on a soup.

Roasted in olive oil, salt and pepper.. cut the bad ends off, cut in half, face down in a pan with enough of a heavy drizzle of oil to catch all of them.. the roast until brown, toss them and keep on, my son likes them crisped up.

I play with them a few ways, sometimes with a balsamic vinegar, maybe some pancetta, sometimes almost salad style with a few other things

I threw these on a mandolin, then sautéed them, crisped them up.. kinda worked with the maple glaze on the doves

I think I have something. Me and mini ms Sw338 just got through pursuing the turkey's, shopping and dead knocking on the planetarium observatory!

I didnt have time to detwhaw doves due to school scheduling.

Let's see what happens. Keep the ideas rolling. Tomorrow is another day!

Thank you to all that actually posted actual ideas.

A good meatloaf is always hard to beat during a cold snap and a good way to use up some ground deer meat.. pair that with some garlic ranch mashed red potatoes and some fried brussels sprouts glazed with honey & sriracha, or fresh green beans sautéed in a pan and splashed with balsamic.

Whole smoked chicken tonight with some baked potatoes, sweet and regular, stewed tomatoes just because I want them.

Sorry, no pics. It was one of those nights where I just wanted to get the kids fed, bathed, and down to bed.
