    Default 105 Years Old

Well at least in “Dog Years”. Today my old boy (Gunner) turned 15. I really can’t believe he has made it this long but he seems to be doing very well for his age. He's no Master Hunter and not nearly as good as his daughter is but he has brought me back a pile of ducks and countless dove. More importantly he has been a steadfast companion since the day I got him and gentle as a lamb with my young girls. I’m not the type that celebrates birthdays for pets but I made an exception for 15. I know he may die tomorrow but just wanted to take a moment to brag on how he has enriched my life.58C08089-C98D-4006-BDF5-BB915C00856A.jpg

Haha I actually did. Went to the grocery store today just to buy him his own personal ribeye. First time in 15 years that’s ever happened.

Good for you. When I ran my beagles in field trials, if they did good, I bought each one a Big Mac on the way home.

    Happy Birthday, Gunner!

Today is Jake’s birthday as well, he gets a ribeye and big rawhide bone every year

15 years is a pretty good ride for a Lab.

That's awesome! Heck of a run for the old fella!

Happy Birthday, Gunner … You’ve obviously given him a good life, and he’s paid it back multiple times.

Happy Birthday Gunner! I have a Gunner as well who just turned nine. If he didn't have a lot of grey you would think he is about six or seven. Still a damn wild card!
