Salt it with a couple of dead ones from the same area. I've got some traps that draw them like flies to honey, and others just 10' away that get very few, but the ones with several dead and maybe a half dead one in it do get attention.
I got a 'Salt Gun' for Christmas, so guess I'll have to grab a beer and go hunting soon.

This. Make sure of your backstop, though. I didn't think rat shot would shatter a hanging basket that just so happened to house a plant that a little old lady from church gave to my wife right right before she died.
Woodie, I shot a Japanese hornet last year with my bug a salt. He shook his head and took the salt gun away from me and beat the crap out of me with it. I'm down to go full on navy seal special ordinance on bugs these days.

With the scarcity of rat shot, I won't be wasting any on bees.
I love shooting them with a weak BB gun on the wing. I miss a lot but when I finally connect, it's always a fist-pump moment.
