    As many boards as I’ve split with screws, I should have come up with this.

    Many years ago at the State Fair, they had a similar splitter that would mount to the rear wheel of a truck. You would jack the truck up, remove the wheel, bolt the spiral threaded splitter onto the hub, put it in gear and let it idle. I was young and do not remember all of the details, but same principle.
