    I was in 2nd place and finished 3rd in 1983. Lost by a lb.

    In the smallest boat in the tournament also fish. Tropical Storm Dean I think it was. Sitting on pitwall in Daytona while talking to a LEGEND and good friend I was informed that I got cheated outa 20K by the weighmaster himself.

    Related story:

    I still have the T shirt from the first annual Dixie Chicken Funament, that we placed third in overall, taking the calcutta on both the spanish and trout. Couldnt buy a flounder all day but was able to boat one in the last 10 minutes of fishing...

    Hungover doesnt begin to describe that day...I think the ziplock of cantaloupe my mom put in my cooler the night before might have saved my life.
