Default Had to let my buddy go.

He lived for September Saturday’s in the dove field and salt marsh. He was 30lbs of tough, who cared for nothing but picking up birds, I will miss him terribly. He was featured in a book on marsh hen hunting. A4EEAA0F-6F8C-4CE7-910E-C0FFE4062481.jpeg

Man I'm sorry for your loss. What a tribute to be immortalized in writing for all to see tho.

Sheesh. I’m still trying to get over one from this past year. It never gets easier. Looks like yours will be remembered well

Before I got my first pup, I ways said it would be cheaper to buy another one than pay for the surgery to save her life if she ate one of my socks. Now that I have her, I would pay for that surgery in a heartbeat. I never knew how much that little dog would mean to me. I'm sorry for your loss.

I feel for you man. Just went through this this past Thursday.

May you be at peace and the lord comfort you in your time of loss!

As duck cutter said, I knew I shouldn’t have clicked on this. I have a springer spaniel that is my best damn friend, he’s still young but when this day comes I doubt I’ll be able to get another.

Very, very sorry for your loss man, looks like he was one hell of a dog and certainly one that will be remembered as one of the best.

Sorry for your loss buddy. Very nice to have him memorialized in a book like that to look back on. My fiance's boston terrier Cooper passed unexpectedly this past Friday so I know how you're feeling. Stay strong man!

Fracas what happened if you don't mind sharing?

Yours is a small breed, but I have noticed a rash of sarcoma (osteo?). the bone version popping up in middle aged large breeds in and around Florence. I know of 3 in the past 2 weeks. I dont want to go down the rabbit whole of food, but after the whole chickens and eggs not laying thing it got me thinking.

I asked the vet & he said no way it's just life, but then said but I dont normally see this many cases this close together either.

When you loose a loved one unexpectedly you question everything & what if anything you could have done to prevent the situation.

Sorry to hear about your dog. It sucks but it's what we signed up for when we bring them home but the pain of letting them go is worth the time we get with them.
I'm pretty sure Bear wouldn't have wanted it any other way.
