I have had em all, I am going with a 24' bay boat next
I have a sweet 22' bay boat now but more saltwater in the future for me and It'll go 25 miles offshore too
on a lot of summer and fall days.

Slick rig Fullchoke!
I ordered a 1754 war eagle back in july. I think it will do 95% of what i need a boat to do.
"Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time. On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words, and some of the words are theirs.
I am haunted by waters" Norman Maclean.
Natty lights and cheese-itz ready for anything that comes your way.
Having owned 14 boats of various sizes you really need 3 boats to do it all, 17ft aluminum, 23-25 bay and a 31 contender in a perfect world. I’m halfway there……
Take an honest look at what you do the majority of the time, fill that need. Then see if there is any overlap to other areas.
All boats are a compromise
Sea Ark 1542 w/ Yamaha 40
Xpress 16 w/ 50 Hammer
War Eagle 15 w/ 30 Hammer

If you want a boat that will do it all set up the way you want then look at a custom aluminum boat. I know prodigy builds quite a few now that fit what you are wanting.
For the ducks
Lots of votes for the War Eagle Blackhawk, I went with the Xpress H20B over the Blackhawk.
Xpress had .125 hull vs .100, more fuel capacity and rated for a larger engine. Seems to ride better than the Blackhawk when I tested it out.
Buddy of mine just got an Xpress H22B, with the 175 sho. Tons of storage, plenty of fuel capacity, and rides dang well from what I’ve seen so far. I like it, but I wouldn’t want the payment. He drove to Mississippi to get it to save on dealer costs

Here’s why I chose the Carolina Skiff:
1. Shallow draft
2. Easy to build a removable bow fishing deck
3. Plenty of factory rod holders and space for more
4. Easy to set any trap, jug, trot line, etc.
5. Easy to build a removable duck blind
6. Plenty of open floor space
Side console boats suck for most every application I can think of.
Center console small boats suck for duck hunting and fishing.
Consider an open floor 20ft skiff with a 115hp tiller.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.
