    Default Montana antelope

Will be making a trip to SE Montana in October for 10 days for a freelance hunt.

Anyone done it…what did you learn to not do or to do for next time…any input is appreciated

    Will be driving
When in doubt, shoot him again!

Work like it's all up to me, but pray, like it's all up to him!

What unit are you hunting? There are a lot of Type 1 and Type 2 private lane accessed available if you spend the time to figure them out. Antelope aren’t hard to hunt if you do your research. Eastern Montana has some nice bucks

I hunt NE WY freelance. Same terrain etc. If it rains dont leave the gravel. Avoid opening day or go early find a buck and be there WAY before daylight and kill him quick. Most get killed from road. If youre willing to walk a hill or two away from road theyll probably be undisturbed. Know your wind holds out as far as youre comfortable shooting. If its hot get them cleaned and on ice ASAP.

I hunted mule deer and birds in SE Montana this past year, and birds the year before. I could have killed antelope multiple times.
