    Many years ago, a property manager for a club I had access to said that the railroad would use chain and grappling hooks to defeat beavers. They would put two grappling hooks end to end (think two treble hooks with their barbs facing away from each other) and a continuous chain. Periodically, they would pull the chain one direction, then back to the other side. While the tire works well for mud, it would not take down beaver dams.

    On a completely different note, that video reminded me of those days when I patronized Duff's Smorgasbord on Surfside Beach. MG
