Default Time for new inshore rod/reels

Any input for a 7 foot medium fast action spinning rod and reel combo for inshore reds and trout? Looking to replace a couple bass pro inshore combos

Any thoughts on the Florida Osprey 3000 line?

Heard good things about the Florida fishing products reels. I have some St. Croix inshore mojo rods that I love.
A fish bites 2 times a day, right before I get to the water, and as soon as my boat gets back on the trailer.

Star stellar light fast taper or plasma series for a rod

I have had good luck with Daiwa BGs for all my reels but have FFP on my radar to possibly try.

Those star/BG setups are great for the $ and should get you out the door $300-$350 for a setup. If looking to spend more there are certainly more options.

I have a TON of inshore stuff but my favorite is a shimano vanford 3000 and st croix triumph is my go to for artificial. I bought a Shimano Sahara c3000 and put it on a shimano stimula rod and liked it so much I bought another for my self.

St. Croix triumph or premiere for mid range production rods. Avid series for higher end. I’ve used stradics forever
But bought a couple of the Diawa BG MQ reels last year and have really liked them. They run about a half size or so bigger than Shimanos so the 3000 Diawa is closer to a 4000 Stradic. I build all my own rods now which is also a good option if you’re looking for a new hobby. Once you invest in a few tools you can build a comparable rod to any of the big manufactures lines for about half the price plus you’ll learn how fix a lot of common issues.

I have a 7’ medium falcon coastal pairs with a 2500 shimano nasci that I love. It’s an awesome trout and flounder rod. It catches reds too, makes it very sporty when you light into a decent one over 30”. I think the rod only set me back $99.

Penn conflict reel with a penn prevail rod. Whatever rod you pick, be sure it has one piece eyes, similar to the penn dura guides. I usually run 20 lb braid.

Fenwick HMG are some flounder/trout/sheep catching rods.

I like a Stradic but was impressed with the Penn Clash a friend recently picked up.

When I was fishing inshore a ton I only used shimano ci3+ on st crowd inshore mojo. Not cheap but man they are still smooth and cast a mile. Penn’s were too prone to wind knots for me.

My absolute favorite is a cork handled St. Croix with a Diawa Ballistic on it. It’s just sweet and works great. I actually think it’s on a Triumph rod. I’ve got an Avid series as well with a Diawa Saltiga but I wouldn’t pay the money for that reel at full retail. The Ballistic is sweet. Then have a handful of Ugly Stick inshore rods that have been great for rest of family, cousins and such.

I’m fishing a Cashion Element inshore rod in their all purpose medium model with a Shimano Nasci 2500. It has been excellent. I’d like to get the medium heavy next as the medium feels more like a medium light to me.

I also have a TFO Pro s medium with a daiwa fuego 2500 that’s great. TFO rods are the opposite their medium feels more like a medium heavy.

My favorite rods have been my Uglystik Inshore Select 7' medium.. Pair it with a spinning reel of your choice. I bought 5 or 6 Penn Fierce's from a member here almost 10 years ago and they are still going strong.
