Watching the motions hearings live right now.
Just learned a 300Blkout was used and the case markings on the brass left at the murder scene
matched the markings on 300Blkout brass found at Alex's private rifle range.
Harpootlian is trying to have this ruled inadmissable
So they don’t actually have the murder weapon?
I believe I read somewhere that the report fell short of saying that the shells found in proximity of her body were the ones related to her death or something. Pretty gruesome scene it sounds like. One report stated Pauls brain was basically removed through the top of his skull.
Murdaughs lawyers are going to do whatever they can to get him off the hook.

Sorry SW, but the innanets don't lie..Poe was a sham.
At least I'm housebroken.
I'd like to know myself. Someone mentioned yesterday that they only had one of the guns? I have no idea if this is true or not I've heard so much contradictory stuff on this it's a life time drama for sure.
The guy is obviously scum for a whole lot of reasons, but to say you found some casings at a dog kennel that match casings at "your own personal range" would incriminate 90% of participates on this forum.
Personal range may mean a whole lot of different things from a pristine 2k yard range with moving steel targets and a skeet range to a small opening in your back yard with a few beer cans. Lord help some red neck bust a few rounds off next to his dog kennel.
I would hope they have more than that, but who knows every time I think it cant get any worse something else turns up in this novel.
Yup, he's crazy...

No, they do not have the .300Blkout from my understanding
He had purchased two in his name and one is missing

Harpootlian is already creating reasonable doubt
Your honor, "The state's motive is that the jig was up with his financial crimes and
he did the murders to keep from being exposed"
"Lots of white collar criminals get caught stealing and embezzeling and
they don't go home and shoot their son IN THE FACE with a shotgun"
"There are numerous photos of Alex and Paul having fun together right up until the day of the murder"

"Rivers and the inhabitants of the watery elements are for wise men to contemplate and for fools to pass by without consideration" -Izaak Walton
They aren't denying the financial crimes
The defense position is; the fraud is not a motive to murder your son, of all people.
I have Covid and its kicking my ass, so just laying in bed watching this stuff

it's his job to toss shit on the wall of the minds of jurors and see if any sticks. I get it. But it's a facile argument.
I think the plan is just to get him from getting killed at this point. Capitol Murder premeditated and all. Which after all of this he may just wanna go die somewhere. If by some strange happenstance he manages to get out with something like 2-5 years I would be there will be a line of folks wanting to kill him when he gets out.
