My parents are in an assisted living facility, my brothers and i looked a long time for a good place. Parents love the place but if something like that happens to them the perps would need life support for as long as they lasted, thats a promise

Both my grandparents are in assisted living homes. There are several “caretakers” in each home that I could see doing something like this. They all happen to be black. They fit the bill, not because they’re black, but because they dress like trash, carry themself like trash and have trash attitudes.

My son wants to be a nurse. He's so absent minded, and tunnel visioned I couldnt see it. Told him that if that's what he wants to do, he's on his own unless he goes and gets a CNA and goes to work in the worst of the worst, a nursing home and if he sticks with it, then I'd support him in the nursing venture.

He got his CNA while a senior in HS and worked in a nursing home for a year and a half. I made him quit before he developed some unhealthy coping mechanisms. He now wants to pursue a career in the delivery room instead of end of life and I understand why. Folks in a nursing home can go fruit loop. They're staging for death. Lonely and scared. They make life difficult for the people caring for them. I understand why and how folks can do what they do, it doesnt excuse it, but I understand it. You have to be better than your baser insticts. I know this because I provided end of life care for my Great Grandmother. She was terrified of dying in a nursing home or hospital alone and made me promise her I'd spare her that indignity. Congestive heart failure. She had to be healthy enough to be released from the hospital and you never saw anyone work as hard as she did to get released. Fun fact in that experience, an ex girlfriend of mine was her care nurse on duty when I found her sheets and body smeared with excrement and diapers not on right. It was not a pretty afternoon. This ex girlfriend is currently teaching my son two courses in his nursing program.

Same here.

My father in law passed last year after 2 years at Martha Franks in Laurens. Cant say enough good things about the folks down there. He went in the day before the world shut down in March of 2020

Couldn't imagine having to go Jesus on the money changers on them.
