Maybe those people should get a job that’s recession proof. I needed a plumber a month ago and the quickest anyone I called could get here was 2 weeks. Figured it out myself.

Man those jobs don't pay enough. You have to go to college and get a tech degree to make any money these days...

Home construction has slowed but there are a lot of government buildings, roads, and infrastructure projects.

My guess is some of that due to overloaded staff to start with

Naturally I would think lot of that is combo of Holiday hires and extra COVID funds running out. But they all ramp up for Holidays.

I read something back before Holidays that CC debt at all time high , honestly folks got in habit of spending while at home during COVID w extra funds. Some do not have enough sense to quit spending and some (a lot) we actually expecting another couple rounds of stimulus money Had lot of “died hard Republicans” in my office acting just like Dumbocrats asking when Fed was going to send more stimulus money PT Barnum had the American public pegged years ago

I agree, have several mortgage brokers and real estate professionals as clients. They have ALL been dumbfounded by amount of money they have made last 6-8 yrs and have been telling it was coming to a halt on their end. For most part I agree, they seem to live very modest . But I think that is some what normal for folks that are commission based

From what I’m seeing it’s regional. NC, SC, Florida and the like are still going pretty strong. Other areas not as much. It may slow some, but more so going back to normal and not slowing in a bad way.

I agree, have clients that in both commercial and residential. Only reason they slow down is supply chain or by their own choice around here

‘Member all those dogs Parker and Smith ran out and bought during covid?

You can find them stacked up in shelters across the country since they no longer need them to have permission to be outside.

Pets are being dumped like crazy.

I’m going to go to the gym and sharpen the iron of this animal based protein fueled temple then I’m headed to Greenville to pick up some coon hides. Back home for lunch and work on some projects until I have to jump on some conference calls. After that I may indeed put a boot in one of it don’t stop crappin in my kitchen.

    I’ll keep you posted.

for what it's worth, I have a little over an hour of "work" left today. I played so bad yesterday, had fun with Nutz, that I might not even play.. I'm picking up my youngest daughters new to her car, then I might grill things and watch movies

I was telling a restaurant owner that the other night... I walked in to get my to go order for the family, she looked at me and told me I looked a little worn out. "I said I know, I should have been a dentist".

Someone dropped this off on my property in the last week or so. I guess they thought they were going above and beyond by abandoning a dog with shelter, at least.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day I helped three friends who had busted water pipes fix their issues.
