When will we see the first reparations conversation for student athletes who were "wronged" by not being able to collect on their NIL? Crazy amount of money this kid was looking at especially considering he's not even ranked in the top 5 of his class- how much is old Arch getting??

If they are wronged shouldn’t they be entitled to legal action? Don’t really see where that is even a conversation. As long as there was a legal deal in place.

That’s exactly what is happening here. He signed an agreement that netted him $13 mil for going to Florida. Be did that and they didn’t come through. No matter how you look at it, he got screwed, and should be entitled to legal action.

With that said he shouldn’t be allowed to get out of his letter of intent.

I was referring to something the OP said on the subject of reparations for those who played before NIL and not the link he posted.

I stand by what I wrote in that context. College is a privilege that is subsidized by booster clubs and Pell Grants for ball players. For that reason, I am against any discussion of reparation NIL funds.

How did he get screwed he hasn't played a down hell he hasn't even practiced. The deal is not between him and Florida it's between him and a collective. Florida is not allowed to know the terms. The collective promised him money they didn't have and a donor backed out. The collective wanted to renegotiate and I guess the kid is holding out. I don't see how he can sue when he hasn't lived up to his end of the agreement.

Bottom line is the ncaa needs to start monitoring this stuff. There's a lot of tampering that's the main reason you see so many players in the portal.
