A good rub down with yellow onion juice and tape copper, not zinc, pennies to your shin bones.

You hear about when they tried to repair Goggins meniscus? Said it was so hard it broke the scalpels.

Substitute up to 50% of your meals with green beans. I guarantee the weight will drop off in no time.

Stretch before you walk, like really stretch….for 10 minutes. There are a ton of good stretches to help with shin splints, google them and pick your favorites.

Buy Good Shoes and get fitted for them. Neutral Shoe with a non neutral foot or some other combination is no bueno. Fleet feet is who I buy shoes from.

Stretch again afterwards and roll your shins out. I use a roller with rolling balls on it, you can work them into your muscle and shin bone and really loosen it up.

Lastly, don’t rush into anything…..take your time and work up your endurance. You will want to move and do more than your body might allow, that’s part of it. Slow down and build up, otherwise you find yourself on the injured players list.

I had shin splints so bad my doctor thought I fractured both shin bones. I had to hit a reset button and adjust to the above. 7 years later and they have never bothered me again.

Mineralized from chronic injury and kicking the can down the road because he didn't want to take any time off for surgery and recovery.

These drills will fix you right up

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”

Sportin was having off and on trouble with shin splints until he found these. He hasn’t had trouble with much of anything since…..

Walking is by definition under-doing it. You might as well lay on the couch and eat ice cream.

I used to get shin splints but I dont have a vagina so I just pushed thru them and finished my goal for the day.

Then I made the choice to get serious about shoes and insoles. I dont get shin splints anymore, but I am also 40 pounds lighter. I am willing to bet dropping the weight helped the most but I can also justify high dollar shoes every 4 months now. Kinda like my scarred up knees that dont hurt anymore. I would like to think its the badass shoes but I know it is mostly the weight drop.

    Good luck

I have a few pairs of the hokas that I really liked but they changed up that shoe so I’m in a couple different pairs of brooks now.

I rotate them out depending on the type of daily needs

Hahaha. I missed the part where he said he was walking. I had a battle with shin splints years ago when I did the Cooper River bridge run. I had to back off the mileage some.
