Default Start stop eliminator for 22.5 and up Silverado “refresh”

I know a few of you have installed these on 19-22 Silverado and Sierras, but anyone attempted one on the new dash?

Not my pic, not my truck.

Looks intimidating! But then again I was put on this earth to break stuff apparently.

Not sure about Chevy, but on ford, you can put a dummy plug in your trailer plug and it won’t work because the feature is automatically disabled with a trailer connected. There is also a plug behind where the park brake is located that can be unplugged which disables too, but it also won’t allow power to your trailer plug. If you tow, that’s not a good option unless you want to plug and unplug to get your trailer lights to work. I like the dummy plug because I can leave it and use the 7 way plug when towing. A lot less bullshit than what’s going on in that picture.

Pulsar LT programmer is supposed to work for the 19-22 and you can disable start/stop, DFM, adjust the speedometer for tire size and change throttle response. It’s about $530 and plugs in under the hood.

At the moment that’s what we’re using until HP Tuners cracks the PCM.

What is the benefit of this start stop feature on newer vehicles? Is this some "green" initiative nonsense?

I'd guess all it does is decrease starter life from the constant restarting after every red light.

It’s really a 2 part question. I’ve got one of these coming. It replaces the original piece that sits behind the screen.
This will be a kill 2 things at one time project.

Guy makes custom pods using oem parts somehow. Had one in my 20’ GMC.

Again, not my pics. Robbed them from FB.

Guys on the group pages are saying that the pulsar unit is not working with 22.5 and up. Unless it’s just the LM2/lzo guys having trouble. You tried one yet? Supposedly GM changed the electronic architecture on the refresh model. Banks literally just got their Idash working with it. My software is a beta version.

I have not tried one with a 2023

The irony is Tahoe has a entire different software than the Silverado and hasn’t been “cracked” since 2020

I’m ready for that, I imagine a tune would turn this 6.2 into a beast. Just increasing the throttle response 30% with the pulsar programmer made a huge difference.

Anything for a 21 Suburban yet? Wife is tired of hitting the on/off button every time she cranks the suv up.
