My grandad has 3 well established scuppernong vines that have been in his yard for for probably 15-20yrs now. When they are in full production mode he has decided it has become too much work for him at 83yrs old to be out there picking them and washing them every day, putting them up or giving them away. He has decided to cut one down but offered it to me first if I wanted to try to move it to my yard. I’d love to have it but was curious if anyone on here was scuppernong experts and knew how well they would do trying to transplant an already established whole vine like that before I put a lot of effort into digging it it and setting up some posts for it to grow on? Or will it need to be cut all the way down any re-started from scratch?
