KRT - I’ve got a 2019 GMC with the 6.2 and 71k. With afm. Been a great truck but these threads make me nervous. What would you recommend I do to the truck to avoid the potential for these problems or is it too late? I know some smart ass will say to sell it and while a new truck is always an option I’d like to drive this one for a couple more years

Following - have the same truck in a 22 with 24k miles
Couldn’t do a 5.3 again… and my last 10spd transmission died at 100k. There is a class action on these as well but it’s in my new truck too.

Electronically turn off AFM/ tune it out. Service the transmission and cross your fingers.

The EPA won’t allow me to answer that lol.

The 3.0 at 80k miles has been a disaster.

    Nevermind.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Oil leaks, mostly rear main seal.

Lots of DEF issues from fluid consumption, soot, and NOx sensors

The most common is long start conditions that there yet seems to be a "fix" for. According to GM, the wrong wiring harness, the fuel pump, or the actuators are to blame.

To be up front Ive only seen this is the early models... but they are the ones with mileage so far.

If they keep screwing up new trucks with all the stupid technology, we're gonna have to resort to buying Honda minivans and taking them to KRT for him to fabricate a truck bed in it. It's ridiculous how much each manufacturer has screwed up truck designs.

Blame the Goverment for most all this due to emissions and milage. You know, the new green deal.

Love my 2010 Tundra minus the gas mileage, but thats why I bought 2001 Honda CRV as my daily beater.

Thinking about lifting the CRV and putting some mud tires on it. Its awd so I just need a little more clearance. WOuld be an epic hunting mobile

Are you the one that got a lemon and hates GM with a passion? I understand your frustration but I’ve had 2 different sierra’s with the 6.2 the last 9 years with about 160,000 total miles. The first truck had an A/C issue at like 60k which is a common known problem. That’s the full extent of the problems I’ve had with either truck. The first truck I drove in M5 most of the time to disable the DFM. But I haven’t done anything with the ‘19 other than drive it
