If I was told I only have one more hunt I would spend it against a tree in Arkansas. I’m sure I would love west coast and Alaska hunting but for me there is no better place than the Arkansas woods.

If you want your last duck hunt to end in empty straps and bitter bile in your throat, then Arkansas is for you. That state has left me disappointed too many times. Furthermore, Park ducks are highly overrated. Then add in the certainty of interaction with some unpleasant folks . If you do want Mallards, there are waaaaaay better places to kill them than AR.

Me ? I'd go somewhere with some nice surroundings, meaning a view of the water and or coast, a diverse species opportunity, no one setting up on your swing ducks, and a 7 per day duck limit. That ain't Arkansas.

I'd go to East or West coast of Florida in late January if cost is a driving factor. Plenty of ducks to be killed there.

Oh yeah, and in Alaska you can shoot 8 puddle ducks and 10 sea ducks a day plus your geese!
Living in Moncks Corner but looking forward to moving back to the West Coast in 2020 where there are more ducks and less duck hunters!! LOL

Book with someone well known and shoot birds in the timber (Lost Island, Stan Jones, 5 Oaks, etc). Hunting a field in Arkansas is fun, but I'd pick a lot of places to go over that ... Killing mallard ducks in the timber feet down is something special no matter how many times you do it.
This is what I want to do some day. I'm not a huge duck hunter, but I've always thought shooting them in the timber would be extraordinary.

Or you could go waaaay south. You hear about the hot barrel dove action in Argentina, but the ducks are where it's at. They often limit you to 4 boxes per hunt. You don't have a problem shooting 4 boxes. Lots of diversity of species as well, although not "our" ducks.

Not a last hunt per say last hunt I can enjoy. Sat in a canal with thousands of ducks circling. Like to see that again. Harder to do with wore out knees and shoulders. Yes CC Argentina is a dream even thought different ducks.

Perhaps N Texas is something you could look at.

Cranes, All of the Geese, mixed bag on ducks. ( Maybe even some park ducks) No wading for the most part. Good scenery, great food and hospitable folks. If interested, I know some good people to contact.

If nobody's suggested it yet, Mississippi is a good option. Not near the amount of outfitter pressure whoring things out as Arkansas/Missouri. So if you're looking to DIY and not have to pay for your hunt, I'd venture there.

I hunt a place in AR that’s pretty good, but you have to have Chene waders and be quite photogenic
Them that don't know him won't like him, and them that do sometimes won't know how to take him

He ain't wrong, he's just different, and his pride won't let him do things to make you think he's right

Mexico. If you want to fill a void. I'm not about being uncomfortable anymore.
