    Default .410 reloading

Thanks to the difficulty of finding shells I’m considering reloading .410s. I’ve got recipes for normal Remington and Winchester shells. While I do have a few Winchester shells the majority of my shells are the Italian brand NSI. Is there a recipe for these shells? All of the recipes I’ve found for .410s are strikingly similar - can I just use a standard recipe for these NSI shells?

When I reloaded I used same recipe no matter the shell as long as it was still in decent condition.

Check out Military Shooters,LLC on line. They have been in business for a long time but are closing. They have Fiocchi 3" #9's in stock for 18.95 a box. Limit 10 boxes. I ordered some and had them within a week.

Thank you Model12. That’s what I was figuring but just wanted to get an affirmative from the brain trust.

Model12, are you able to find the components, specifically wads, for 410 right now? I’ve been contemplating getting a MEC reloader but haven’t been able to find the wads for 3” shells.

All I use is the red Claybuster 410 wads. Same wad in both 2 1/2 and 3 in. Ballistic Products usually has these in stock all the time. Sportsman's Whse in Columbia has "em" sometimes. My local skeet club lady will order them for when I ask. I load all my 410's with Hercules #2400 powder. There are lots of powders that will work. I use Cheditte primers as they are easiest to get. I pour my own 6's/7 1/2's/8's and 9's so shot is never a problem.

I have a Mec 600 jr setup for 410 2 1/2 in. A newer 600 Jr mk 5 setup for 3 in. I have a "short kit" spacer from Mec and a bar for 2/1/2 in shells. Takes less than 5 min to change the newer press from 3 in to 2 1/2 in. So that's what I do leaving the old press gathering dust.

Ballistics products is where I get most of my stuff. Looks like they have multiple .410 wads in stock.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!
