    Default Clover vs brassica

Mainly 1/2 acre “kill plots”. So mainly concerned about deer feeding on them starting around October and later. Ag fields in rotation of beans and corn near by. Also plenty of natural woody browse.

Yeah. They're tiny little seeds too. You can top sow them and they'll do great.

Rape is what the deer eat first in my blend plots.

Same here. If you can plant it early they'll be in it during archery season

Got a plot clover took off in and is doing pretty good. So spring time I will seed some more clover. Its mixed with all kinds of different clover. I will spray to kill any weeds but not kill the clover, will seed with a mix of wheat, rye, oats on half and the other half with rape and something else idk yet in August/July depending on rain.

Edit to add. My food plot is not far off from a 50 acre hay field. That normally has been planted in rye and clover during the winter months..... Has not been in the past 3 years other than summer/spring hay cuttings..... Gonna have a discussion with the lease holder and if they are not going to plant it for a winter planting I am gonna do something with it. To much ground to leave to weeds in the winter.

The kind cows don't even eat. Not exactly sure what they all are exactly. Can figure that out tho pretty easy.

Guy that has a cows beside us use to get out of the fence from time to time and come over to the field and eat during the winter. They have not done so in 3 years since it has not been planted in the winter. Would say the fence is just been that good.... but not the case. Fence in the same spot is still pretty much just 2 strands of wire that is not hot in the same spot.
