    Default Rooftop Tent Camping

Does anyone have any experience with something like this? Trying to find a cheaper alternative than dropping 200-300 bucks on Air Bnbs or hotels every time Trace has a tournament. I have looked at the truck bed campers but too rich for me.

Is there a reason you are ruling out something like a wall tent and some cots?

Man throw you a camper shel on the back and make you a cot in the back of the truck. Don’t make it complicated.

Biggest thing is probably time. Have to be at the boat ramp usually by 5:30. Also just less crap to bring.

If you are going to go that route, check out GFC. They are the best ones I have used. My family of four spent a week in Yellowstone with a 4 door tacoma with a GFC rig. It had the screened in porch set up on the side and we were comfortable. This year we went to Glacier and had a Jeep with a roof top tent. Not as comfortable or convenient. Made me wonder why people drive Jeeps. I didn’t even take a picture of the set up because I’d rather forget it.

Here’s a link to a photo of the rig in Yellowstone: https://www.instagram.com/p/CDWkfmZp...d=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

My neighbor owns Asheville Vehicle Outfitters. They do a ton of these rooftop tents. They are pretty slick. Check them out @ https://ashevillevehicleoutfitters.com/

He loves this stuff! I’ll be honest, it’s a blast getting to travel with him.
