    Default Charleston Fire

Anybody else in the area see that thing last night? It was a impressive site even from downtown… It was apparently some new apartments out on Johns Island that were around 75% complete. Luckily no residents on site yet. Wonder who/what could have actually started such a thing.

Yes- we are across the stono. I saw some big wildfires out west I don’t think I’ve seen one that tall before.

I think about whats gonna happen if a house catches on fire in some of these new vinyl village houses that are 10' apart. They dont have the firewalls a multifamily structure has.

Hopefully the fire department gets there soon enough and starts to spray water on the 3 surrounding houses.. That is the only hope...

Something that the planning people dgaf about. These new subdivisions are an absolute eyesore on top of the safety issues.

Multi-family structures require fire sprinklers. In this obviously not in operation yet or turned off.

I saw a bunch of smoke from the city as I was driving on Ben Sawyer Bridge Tuesday afternoon. I wonder if there is a firebug on the loose?

    Default Charleston Fire

A friend sent me video as he happened to be passing by. Appeared to be town homes that were framed up but thats it. Basically a giant campfire. Would not surprise me if it was intentionally set due to the residents overall resistance to johns island development.

Could see the glow over the trees on my porch here on Johns.

It was a townhome development they were building on the right side of maybank as you are coming onto Johns.

Traffic was a cluster this AM.

Someone on fb made a mention of a "flaming arrow" shot but idk. Sounds like someone is tired of developments if true.

You'd have to shoot an awful slow bow for a flaming arrow to stay lit.

A Rambo- style explosive broadhead, maybe.

OSB burns good once you get it lit.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.
