    Sprigs post and the wigeon got me giddy. Here’s my yellow girl fizzle w one from a couple days ago.

    I don’t understand why all my SC birds have crappy white wing patches or barely a green stripe.

    Even in January.

    I can count on 2 hands how many widgeon I’ve killed here that look like the plumed out western birds.
    Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

    That's a beautiful picture.
    Bog, we kill all colors from start to finish.
    Our only saving grace is unless it's dark or slow, we try and shoot the prominent white wing bar birds.
    We get plenty of drab drakes in January
