    Default Dead head

Maybe he died of old age or maybe someone is still having nightmares…

I found this one in April, I bet someone lost some sleep over him.

Looks like he got hooked in a tree and died from starvation to me.

Or he was shot, swam in the swamp and laid his head to rest in the crook of that tree.

I lost sleep for quite some time after arrowing this nice public land buck and not being able to find him. I ended up finding him in a creek bed during Spring Turkey and that creek was absolutely roaring when I shot him.

Is old age a brand of arrow?

Found this one about 30 ft away from a group of 5 bucks that were bedded down with a doe in December a few years ago.

Most dead heads are the result of a neighbor looking for 5 minutes and declaring a "clean miss."
