    Default Storm from Texas

Went out to see my old duck hunting buddy and had a few good days of hunting. Despite the wind laying down, which it rarely does, we were able to kill limits of ducks along with some geese and cranes. A big time was had for sure, and this little guy came home with me. Been years since I’ve mounted a duck but figured this one was more than worthy of a special spot. Thought I’d share.

If you need somewhere to store that crane meat, I have available space.

That's a nice widgeon. I'd have a taxidermy bill, too.

    Stellar.

    Gorgeous Wigeon!

Wall art for sure on that one!
“Duck hunting gives a man a chance to see the loneliest places …blinds washed by a rolling surf, blue and gold autumn marshes, …a rice field in the rain, flooded pin-oak forests or any remote river delta. In duck hunting the scene is as important as the shooting.” ~ Erwin Bauer, The Duck Hunter’s Bible, 1965

I'm happy for you, but I'm pissed it wasn't me.

Holler and come sit in the mud with me soon.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.
