    Default Polaris rangers.

How many hours and miles are too many on the Polaris 1000XP to stay away from. Buddy is upgrading and offered his to me at a good price but has almost 9k on it. Not sure of the hours. It’s only 2020 model.

I bought my 2021 ranger 1000 new and it has right at 4K miles now, it still looks and runs like it did the day I brought it home.
If he took care of it I say go for it.

How well has your “buddy” maintained it?

    That’s the biggest thing.

Maintenance is always on time. Just did complete service with all fluids and belts changed.

Should be good then. I think it is more important how they are used. Mileage will vary with use. Mine had a bunch of miles on it, but travelled long roads on a bigger property. Only once ever put it in 4wd and mainly used for hauling and planting. So I wouldn’t say it was abused, but it was used and taken care of.
